THE 2026-27 College Rugby League season is due to start on Wednesday, September 30 with a six-strong Premier Division.
The top flight will be underpinned by North West, Yorkshire and South Divisions – plus a cross-county Girls’ section.
Opening fixtures have yet to be announced but the competitions are set to comprise:
PREMIER DIVISION: Bishop Burton, Castleford Tigers, Furness Raiders, Hull KR & Wilberforce Development Academy, Warrington Wolves Development Academy (Priestley) and Wigan & Leigh.
NORTH WEST: Carmel, Cronton Sixth Form, Hopwood Hall, Salford RLFC Development Academy, West Cumbria and Wigan Warriors.
NORTH WEST DEVELOPMENTAL: St John Rigby and Winstanley.
YORKSHIRE: Halifax Panthers, Leeds Rhinos Development Academy, LLS Bulls (Bradford), New College Pontefract, Wakefield and Wyke Sixth Form.
YORKSHIRE DEVELOPMENTAL: Castleford Tigers A, Greenhead, Hull KR & Wilberforce Development Academy A, Kirklees, Leeds College of Building and Park View.
SOUTH: Sigma Sixth Form (only one listed at this stage).
GIRLS: Bishop Burton, Castleford Tigers, Cronton Sixth Form, Halifax Panthers Academy, Kirklees, Leeds Rhinos Development Academy, LLS Bulls (Bradford New College), Pontefract, Park View, Salford RLFC Development Academy, St John Rigby, The Blue Coat School (Oldham), Trinity Sixth Form Academy, Wakefield, Warrington & Vale Royal College, Warrington Wolves Development Academy (Priestley), Wigan & Leigh, Wigan Warriors, Winstanley and Wyke Sixth Form.
The Men’s Universities National League will begin on Wednesday, October 7, with National Leagues One and Two launching seven days later.
Teams involved will be announced shortly, as will those taking part in the Women’s Student League, which is due to commence on Sunday, October 25.
