DAVY LITTEN has penned an emotional message to Hull FC supporters following his move to Wakefield Trinity for 2027 and beyond.
Having come through the ranks with the Black and Whites, Litten debuted for the first-team as a 19-year-old back in 2022 and went on to play 74 games, scoring 25 tries.
A four-year deal at Wakefield has been signed, with Trinity paying a fee for the 23-year-old.
The move came as a surprise for most people following Litten’s rise to prominence with his boyhood club, and now the centre has paid tribute to the club and its fans.
Litten said: “To be able to achieve my childhood dream and play for this club was always going to be special but to be able to do it 70 times was something I never took for granted. As one door closes and another opens, Hull FC will always hold a special place in my heart.
“I’d like to thank all the staff for helping me progress over the last six years. The support has never gone unnoticed and I appreciate you all.
“I want to thank the amazing Hull FC supporters. Yes, this season has been far from ideal, but to the fans who have supported us regardless of what’s gone on, we can’t thank you more than we already do.
“The boys, I’ve met some great people over the last six years who will be friends for life. I love you all to bits and appreciate every single one of you. I wish the club nothing but the best for the future. Thank you, Old Faithful.”
