NATHAN CAYLESS has made his first signing at Hull KR in rising talent Moala Graham-Taufa.
The 24-year-old outside back joins on a two-year deal from South Sydney Rabbitohs, for whom he has featured twice in the NRL this season and impressed in the NSW Cup.
He has made 17 appearances in the reserve grade competition this campaign, scoring nine tries and assisting a further four.
Graham-Taufua began his career with Marist Saints before moving to Australia. Progressing through the youth system at Sydney Roosters, he went on to make his NRL debut for the club in 2021.
He then joined New Zealand Warriors, for whom he made four top-flight appearances and scored his maiden first-grade try, before moving to South Sydney ahead of the 2026 campaign.
Having built a reputation for his powerful running game and finishing ability, Graham-Taufa is excited to test himself in the UK.
“This is an opportunity for me to prove myself in Super League and take on a new challenge,” explained the Auckland-born back.
“I think I’ll bring a lot of energy to the group, and I’m excited to pull on the Hull KR jersey and represent the club and the fans.”
Cayless believes his newest addition will provide competition for the likes of Peta Hiku, Oliver Gildart and Jack Broadbent as the Robins embark on a new era.
“In my opinion, Moala has been the best centre in the NSW Cup in 2026,” he admitted.
“The attributes that attracted me to him are his powerful running, his tackle-breaking ability, and the fact he’s a try-scorer.
“These are things that will complement what we already have and help us continue to improve the squad.”
