OUTGOING Huddersfield Giants playmaker Tui Lolohea is the only Super League representative in Tonga’s World Cup squad.
The halfback made more than 100 appearances for the Giants over five seasons after previous spells at Leeds Rhinos and Salford Red Devils.
Tonga head coach Kristian Woolf has named a 24-player squad, meaning one player will need to be cut before the tournament starts.
Meanwhile, Tyson Frizell becomes the first man ever to represent three different nations in a World Cup, having previously turned out for both Wales (2013) and Australia (2017).
There are notable omissions in Daniel Tupou and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, but both Robert Toia and Jojo Fifita have been included after being linked with Australia call-ups.
