ROCHDALE HORNETS chairman Andy Mazey rates the recruitment of Australian secondrow Lachlan Lanskey as a real coup.
The 29-year-old Queenslander who was once part of the Brisbane Broncos system has switched after spending three years at Keighley.
He was previously at Whitehaven, and Mazey said: “This is a big piece of business. Lachi is a backrower of strong pedigree who has been a real handful when playing against us.
“He comes with a reputation of being a great professional. He is another really good bloke to have around the camp.”
Former Brisbane Tigers player Lanskey said: “Rochdale have built a great squad which I’m keen to be a part of, and hopefully I can add some value.”
Rochdale have also brought in experienced winger Ryan Millar from Sheffield.
“Ryan is an experienced top-end Championship performer whose power, pace and athleticism will provide even more competition and threat out wide,” added Mazey.
