AMELIA BROWN scored six tries as Huddersfield produced a dominant display.

They crossed 13 times in total, with Becky Grady kicking three goals and Sam Hume five. 

The Giants set the tone early on as they started brightly, moving through the Leopards half in a strong opening set, although an early knock-on from Grady handed possession back to the visitors.

Leigh then threatened to give the hosts an opportunity when Macy McDermott failed to retrieve a last-tackle kick, gifting Huddersfield a scrum in a threatening position. 

They made it count, with fullback Brown initially shaping to pass to Mollie Iceton before stepping through herself to open the scoring.

After Huddersfield conceded possession from the restart, Leigh struggled to make their opportunities count. The hosts soon regained momentum and extended their lead through Olivia Gale. 

A high tackle resulted in a penalty for Huddersfield, while Leigh were reduced to twelve following Olivia Hill’s yellow card for a professional foul. 

Huddersfield once again punished the numerical disadvantage, with Maddy Hutchison crossing on the right wing.

Iceton then powered through the Leigh defence before Brown added another, breaking the line from a simple carry and racing clear. Brown completed a hat-trick before half-time, when it was 30-0. 

The second half brought more of the same. Hulme produced a run before unselfishly finding Brown, who claimed her fourth. Brown then went over again.

Iceton added her second following a scrum, before Hutchison also doubled her tally (she was later yellow carded for dissent). Brown completed another scoring run, while Gracie Hobbs and Tara Moxon crossed later on.
