BARLA Lions ready to hit the ground running in Fiji

The BARLA Lions have arrived in Fiji ahead of their first game against Fiji West in Nadi tomorrow.

After touching down, the team were straight into training.

“It was good to get a blast and work the tired legs off that we got on the plane,” said Millom’s Lee Postlethwaite.

“We are feeling fresher every day, but that first session was hot! Very humid and we got a sweat on! I think everyone enjoyed it though and we’ve prepared well for our first game.”

Millom and Postlethwaite had a slow start to their season but in the end, just fell short of promotion from the NCL’s Division Three.

Postlethwaite enjoyed a prolific season for the South Cumbrian club, notching 10 tries and 93 goals in 21 games after making his BARLA Three Counties Championship debut for Cumbria last year.
