BBC to televise two cup ties

The BBC will broadcast two Ladbrokes Challenge Cup sixth round ties live on BBC One and BBC Two over the weekend of May 16 and 17.

The action kicks off at 2.30pm on Saturday May 16 when holders Leeds Rhinos begin their defence of the sport’s most famous trophy at home to Huddersfield Giants live on BBC One.

And on Sunday May 17, the BBC Two cameras will be at Belle Vue to capture all the drama as Wakefield Trinity Wildcats host Leigh Centurions in a 2.15pm kick-off.

Both matches will be followed by a forum on the BBC Red Button.

The BBC will also broadcast the quarter-final draw on BBC Two on Sunday following the completion of Wakefield v Leigh.

Live TV coverage will also be streamed on the BBC Sport website and via the BBC Sport app.

There will be coverage of the sixth round ties on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra and on BBC local radio. All live radio commentary is available to listen wherever you are via the BBC Sport app and BBC sports website, on mobile and tablet devices.
