Warrington Wolves star Stefan Ratchford says there’s no reason why the club can’t be “first in everything” in 2016.
The Wolves endured a disappointing 2015 campaign by their own standards, losing in the Challenge Cup semi-finals to Hull KR before failing to make the top four in the Super 8s.
But Ratchford says that whilst there have been no discussions as a group about locking down targets for 2016, he believes the club can be top dogs in the upcoming season.
“We will have our goals, we’ve not gone through them as of yet, but if I was going to speak from a personal point of view then we’ve got to be looking at being first in everything,” Ratchford told the Warrington Guardian.
“I think it’s been achievable and we haven’t quite got there. We’ve come up short the last couple of years but the squads we’ve had previously were more than capable.
“This year we’ve had a lot of new faces in, a lot of quality faces, and I don’t see why we wouldn’t be aiming for anything else – that’s the team we want to be.”
The Wolves kick off the new Super League season on February 4 when they travel to defending Super League champions Leeds Rhinos.
