TOULOUSE OLYMPIQUE have handed a new three-year deal to winger Benjamin Laguerre.
A Marseille native, Laguerre is a product of the Toulouse academy, rising through the ranks with the club’s reserves side before making his first appearance in 2021.
The 24-year-old made his Super League debut in 2022 and has since gone on to register 73 first-team appearances for the French side.
With Toulouse’s second season in the top flight seeing them battle for eighth spot, Laguerre has racked up eight tries in 23 appearances.
Laguerre said: “I’m really pleased to have extended my contract following this successful season in the Super League.
“I’m ready to give 100 per cent for the seasons to come.”
Meanwhile, Pierre-Jean Lima will depart Toulouse at the end of the season for Super XIII club Albi.
The forward has been limited to just three appearances this season, the last of them in March.
He’s made 45 appearances for the club in total across nine years, scoring ten tries.
