HEAD COACH Brad Arthur described Leeds Rhinos’ 24-12 success at Bradford Bulls as their “best win” of the season.
Victory over their rivals took Leeds top of Super League, at least for a day.
“It’s our best win,” said Arthur, whose side edged Warrington Wolves five days earlier.
“Last week we were tough, gritty and composed and we backed that up.
“We knew they (Bradford) would have a Grand Final mentality and they came after us early and we just had to weather the storm.
“We were very good physically and it showed in the second half. Everyone played their part really well.
“I was pleased with how patient we were and how we turned the ball over where we wanted to take energy out of them.”
The blip of successive defeats at Wakefield Trinity and Hull FC now seems to be behind the Rhinos.
“A few people have used the word inconsistent with our team,” added Arthur.
“I don’t think that’s the case, I just think we’ve had two bad halves of footy and we’ve learned from them.
“But we’ve got to do it again the next time we play.”
