LEEDS RHINOS head coach Brad Arthur believes that he will get some of his players back at the right time to finish the season strongly.
The Rhinos are battling with Wigan Warriors to finish at the top of the Super League table after leading the way for much of the campaign.
The two, who are level on points, with Leeds possessing a far superior points difference, go head-to-head in a huge showdown at AMT Headingley this Saturday and Maika Sivo (arm), Keenan Palasia (foot) and James McDonnell (pec) all have a chance of returning for it.
And while Danny Levi will need to be assessed after his comeback from a neck injury in Friday’s 34-6 win at St Helens ended prematurely, Arthur could have more or less his strongest line-up available come the play-offs.
“What we do over the next few weeks will help us get in the position that we want to in the finals,” said Arthur, whose side finish their regular campaign at home to Hull FC.
“Where we end up is still in our control, but we have some really big contests.
“We are getting a few guys back in the frame, but those guys that have been in the team have done a really good job.
“There is real competition for spots. If we can keep everyone healthy then we have got players coming back at the right time of the year.
“They are fresh and they lift the intensity in training and in games.”
On hooker Levi, Arthur said: “He felt like he wasn’t strong enough, so we’ll have to wait and see. He’ll have scans to see where he’s at.”
