BRAD ARTHUR was glad to see Leeds Rhinos have the “composure” to get over the line after a stumble at Toulouse Olympique.
Leeds’ 30-point lead was reduced to six before three late tries saw them secure a 48-24 victory and return to the top of Super League.
“It was a brilliant first half, we dominated totally and looked comfortable,” assessed coach Arthur.
“But they got off to a great start in the second half and a couple of things didn’t go our way. We had a couple of system errors from the scrum and they got back to 30-24.
“They had heaps of energy and we had two plays and made errors on both of those.
“I thought we showed loads of composure just to settle ourselves and we managed to get back to what works for us with the sort of footy we want to play and we finished strongly.
“I’m certainly not happy about the 24 points (conceded) and there are no excuses around it.
“The conditions were pretty warm which is something we’re not used to but credit to them (Toulouse), they came out and played well with loads of energy and threw caution to the wind.
“We were professional enough to get back on top and compose ourselves, not get frustrated and finish the game the way we should have.”
