Bradford Bulls head coach James Lowes was disappointed yet upbeat after his side’s derby-day defeat to Halifax.
However the Bulls chief was less than impressed with a section of the Bradford support after his side went down 20-16 at The Shay.
Lowes went over to applaud the fans after the match, but it resulted in an argument with a fan that was unhappy with Bradford’s performance and their first defeat to Halifax this century.
“It’s very disappointing that there’re some really negative people that don’t understand the game of Rugby League,” said Lowes.
“They must expect in a local derby like this that we’re going to roll 60 or 70 points on teams which is just unbelievable. I can’t get my head around this way of thinking so I just told them that I’m very disappointed to have that kind of support.”
Bradford head into the upcoming Super 8s with just one win in their last five matches.
