Bradford name strong squad for Castleford clash

Bradford Bulls have named a strong squad for their opening pre-season friendly against Castleford this Sunday, with as many as 11 new faces expected to debut for James Lowes’ men.

Stars such as Jake Mullaney and Harry Siejka are likely to make their bow for the Bulls, in a game which is doubling up as former Bull Andy Lynch’s testimonial match.

And boss James Lowes is excited to see what his new-look squad can do – but stressed that the result is not the most important thing heading into the opening game of pre-season.

“It’s the first hit-out of pre-season for us and the first opportunity to get some much-needed game-time under our belts,” said the Bulls head coach.

“We have named a strong squad, as have Castleford, but the result is not the be-all and end-all. It’s about building fitness and performance.”

Bradford Bulls 22-man squad: Jake Mullaney, Samir Tahraoui, Adam Brook, Ryan Shaw, Lucas Walshaw, Danny Addy, Etu Uaisele, Harry Siejka, Paul Clough, Adam Sidlow, Chev Walker, Jean Phillipe Baile, Wayne Ulugia, Karl Davies, Vila Halafihi, Nathan Conroy, Alex Mellor, Jay Pitts, Tom Olbison, Adam O’Brien, Lee Gaskell, Adrian Purtell.
