Brough still not over Giants’ disappointing ending

Huddersfield Giants captain Danny Brough admits he’s still not over their play-off defeat to Wigan – and says it’s something he’ll have to live with until they finally win a major trophy.

The Giants again looked well poised for an assault on Old Trafford in 2015, but once again went out with a whimper in the play-offs, losing 32-8 at the DW Stadium in the semi-finals to the Warriors.

And Brough, who will now prepare for Scotland duty in this year’s European Championships, says he’s still not over the defeat.

“It’s now well over a week since we lost at Wigan, but I’m still not over it,” said Brough.

“With being the captain and trying to push the team to lift the trophy, it’s hard.

“I suppose I’ve got to live it with, and I do live with it every day, to be fair.

“Obviously, I wish I could change it, but I can’t, and I don’t really think it’ll change until we win something.”
