Carney set for debut this weekend

Catalans Dragons marquee signing Todd Carney is set to finally make his debut for the club this weekend, after being named in their squad for the pre-season friendly against Chevaliers Cathares.

Carney was initially named in the squad to face London Broncos last weekend, but pulled out due to injury, coach Laurent Frayssinous told League Express last week.

However, he’s in the squad again this weekend, and barring any late setbacks, should make his long-awaited Dragons debut. Scott Dureau is also included; he, like Carney, was in the squad for the Broncos game but had to pull out due to injury.

The Dragons have also been able to welcome back Olivier Elima from injury.
