Carney and Taylor set for Catalans exit

It appears that the exodus is set to continue at Catalans.

League Express reports that Todd Carney and Dave Taylor are set to quit the Catalans club at the end of the season, with Laurent Frayssinous preparing a major clear out ahead of the new season.

The Dragons have announced the departures of several players ahead of next season in the last few weeks, with Olivier Elima, Glenn Stewart and Greg Mounis all set to follow in the footsteps of Willie Mason and Pat Richards at the end of the year.

However, it now appears that two of the biggest stars in the locker room will leave too, which will leave the Dragons with a huge void in their squad, but also on their salary cap. With the duo set to be available, it will no doubt spark a scramble across the world to snap them up for next season, and their futures could well shape the transfer news for the off-season.

The news of their departures only adds fuel to the rumour linking the Dragons with Zak Hardaker, who would no doubt command a large wage.
