Carvell links up with Salford Red Devils

Former Great Britain forward Garreth Carvell has taken a role on with Salford Red Devils, joining the club as their new welfare officer, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Carvell is currently playing part-time in the Championship with Featherstone Rovers, and will now work with the Red Devils on a part-time basis too, joining the club starting from Monday.

It is a role previously held by former Salford player, who played for the Red Devils during his career as well as clubs such as Oldham, Featherstone and Halifax in the lower leagues.

He joins former Warrington teammate Adrian Morley at Salford.
