Castleford have another addition to their lengthy injury list, after it was revealed that key forward Scott Wheeldon will miss the next three months of action.
The likes of Matt Cook and Mike McMeeken have been long-term casualties for Castleford lately, and now Wheeldon has been added to that list following a knee injury.
He picked it up against Wigan during the 28-0 defeat, and boss Daryl Powell confirmed that he is set for an extended spell on the sidelines with the blow.
“Scott Wheeldon got a bad injury and will be out for 10 to 12 weeks. He’s got a medial knee ligament injury,” said Powell.
“It’s disappointing for Scott, because he has been going okay for us.”
