More Castleford Tigers signings to come

Castleford Tigers head coach Daryl Powell insists there will be more fresh faces coming into the club before the start of next season, after he completed the signing of a second NRL star earlier this week.

After Junior Moors signed up last month, the Tigers swooped for experienced half-back Ben Roberts to bolster their ranks, and offset the departure of Marc Sneyd to Hull FC. And Powell insists the recruitment drive is not yet finished, claiming there will be some signings announced in the next couple of weeks.

“We’ve now signed a couple of players from the NRL and I think Ben and Junior are both well suited to the game over here. I think they’ll both go outstandingly well.

“The two of them will know each other pretty well and will slot into what we are doing seamlessly I think.

“We haven’t finished with our recruiting yet and are still working through at it at the moment, but there will be some more signings to come in the next couple of weeks.”
