Catalans Dragons have been dealt another huge injury blow after it emerged captain Remi Casty will miss the rest of the 2015 season due to injury.
Casty injured his knee during last weekend’s 14-12 defeat to Huddersfield, and it has now been revealed by the club that he has ruptured ligaments in his right knee, meaning he needs surgery next month.
It ends an impressive first season back in France for Casty, who only missed three games prior to this injury all season after returning to the club from a season in the NRL with Sydney Roosters.
His loss will be heavily felt by the Dragons, who had seven injury absentees against Huddersfield and are also likely to be without second rower Elliott Whitehead for Sunday’s trip to Leeds because of concussion.
