The Rugby Football League (RFL) has announced the two stadiums set to host the semi-finals of the 2014 Challenge Cup.

Leeds’ mouthwatering clash with Warrington will be held at Langtree Park – home of St Helens – while Castleford against Widnes will take place at Leigh Sports Village, home of the Centurions.

Both ties will be televised on the BBC.

Challenge Cup Semi Finals 2014
Saturday 9th August, 2014, 2.30pm
Leeds Rhinos v Warrington Wolves
Langtree Park, St Helens

Sunday 10th August, 2014, 3.00pm
Castleford Tigers v Widnes Vikings
Leigh Sports Village, Leigh

The RFL’s Marketing Manager Mark Foster said: “Langtree Park and Leigh Sports Village are perfect venues for the semi-finals and will provide terrific backdrops to some high drama as the four clubs showcase the sport to a national television audience. In selecting the venues, we have looked at similar criteria as we did when choosing where to place games for the Rugby League World Cup: one of the big considerations was venues that give us every chance of selling out and creating the very best atmosphere to reflect the stature of Tetley’s Challenge Cup semi-finals.”
