ONE of Brighouse Rangers and Lock Lane will have a dream Challenge Cup third-round tie against holders Hull KR.
The West Yorkshire pair will meet on Saturday in the first round after the initial game was postponed.
Whichever of the community sides wins will progress straight through to round three, having been drawn to next face Featherstone Rovers who have been removed from the Challenge Cup.
Castleford-based Lock Lane play in the National League Premier Division, the top grassroots league, while Brighouse Rangers qualified for the Challenge Cup as BARLA National Cup runners-up.
Like all Super League sides, the Robins have been drawn to play away from home – although ties could be reversed if agreed between the clubs to maximise attendances and revenue.
Not a single third-round fixture is yet known, with nine games from the all-amateur first round to be played this weekend before round two, involving Championship sides, is staged over the weekend of January 24-25.
Ambitious second-tier outfit London Broncos will host Super League newcomers Bradford Bulls, should they first overcome capital neighbours Wests Warriors.
Revived Salford, meanwhile, could host Hull FC if they get past Hammersmith Hills Hoists in round two.
Third-round ties are to be held over the weekend of February 7-8.
