Hull Kingston Rovers coach Chris Chester says although this weekend’s opponents Hull FC have a good pack, he’s more than confident his team can stand up to the task this weekend.
The likes of Mickey Paea and Liam Watts have impressed for Hull this year, and Chester openly admits their strength is in the forwards.
However, Chester believes that his forwards are more than a match, and has thrown his weight behind them ahead of the Magic Weekend showdown between the teams.
“It’s opinions isn’t it? They are good players in their own right but I’m more than confident in my guys,” Chester told the Yorkshire Post.
“James Green has really stood up these last few weeks and he’s needed to do as he was the only genuine front-rower available.
“I brought young James Greenwood in from Wigan on loan and he was great last week.
“We’ve got Tony Puletua in now from Salford too, and though Hull do have a good pack – it is probably their strength – I’m more than confident in my boys.
