Chester praises Campese influence on KR

Hull KR coach Chris Chester has heaped praise on captain Terry Campese, admitting he was missed during last week’s defeat to Wigan.

Campese was a standout performer during KR’s 54-6 thumping of Wakefield on Thursday, impressing as the Robins romped to another home victory.

And Chester admitted that his presence was missed at Wigan last week, heaping praise on Campese for his role at the club.

“Terry is the leader of this club,” said Chester.

“He’s the leader of this group of players and I’m pleased he played.

“We missed him at Wigan and he showed he is an important part of this team.

“When Terry plays, we generally play well.”
