Hull KR winger Josh Mantellato says that new signing Dane Chisholm has been like a “breath of fresh air” ahead of the impending Super 8s.
Chisholm has joined from Canterbury for the rest of the season, and is likely to make his debut in tonight’s televised clash against St Helens – a game Rovers must win to keep their top eight hopes alive.
And Mantellato believes that his arrival will be good news for the Robins – and said he’s proven to be a great addition to the camp so far.
“I played against him a few times back home and he’s slipped right into the squad.
“I’m looking forward to playing with him tonight and hopefully he gets a bit of open space because when he gets through it, he can run.
“He’s been a breath of fresh air this week at training and he’s pretty funny as well.
“He’s Dane Tilse’s little pal at the moment, they’re like twins except for looks! It’s been banter back and forth between those two all week and the boys have been jumping on board. He’s really been welcomed in.”
