Clark angry with the Wolves

Daryl Clark has insisted that some of his Warrington team-mates should be embarrassed by their performance at Leeds on Friday, as the Wolves’ long wait for an away win continued.
The Wire were hammered 36-0 to continue their winless streak on the road, dating back to their last away win eight months ago at London Broncos.
They have won just four out of their 16 league games dating back to that win in Ealing, and Clark said there will have to be some accountability for the Wolves to put things right.
He told League Express: “That was pretty embarrassing.
“We’re going to need to have some honesty, exchange some tough words and a lot of people should be embarrassed.
“It will be shown up on the video and some people will have to put their hands up. This is not good enough for the players we have and the standards we set. It’s embarrassing. We can’t be tossing that up.”
Clark continued: “We’re lucky it’s only the start of the year. There’s time to turn it around. It’s not the end of the world so early in the season, but we’re not where we want to be. It’s a long season and it gives us a chance to turn it around.”
Clark also insisted that Warrington’s issues with injuries to their spine is no excuse for their shaky form and performances.
“It’s not been ideal having so many changes, but we’re all quality players and we should be able to adapt,” he said.
Clark left Headingley in a protective boot to further compound Warrington’s misery on Friday, after suffering an ankle injury.
He said: “I went over on it just before half-time and straight after. We’re hoping it’s just bruised and nothing more than that. I was struggling to put some weight on it and had to come off in the end.”
