NORTH WALES CRUSADERS insist they have honoured all player contracts for 2025 amid reports that their squad are refusing to train after not being paid for the past two months.
However, such is the increased criticism on social media that they have now disabled comments on their official Facebook page.
Former player Jamie Dallimore, who has signed for Rochdale, previously called the club out for not paying wages on time.
In a statement, the club said: “It’s a year since North Wales Crusaders asked the owners to stand behind the playing squad’s contracts for 2025 and provide the club with the fuel to be able to compete in RFL League One.
“Now those agreements have been honoured in full for season 2025, the club has been able to compete strongly, win that division and break a few club records along the way.
“We are now focused on getting as ready as possible for the 2026 season which includes competing well on the field as well as getting ever closer with our supporters off it.”
However the club haven’t addressed why a number of players that they had previously signed on contract for 2026 and beyond have now moved on to pastures new, including the likes of Sam Wilde, Paddy Jones and Toby Hughes.
League One title-winning coach Carl Forster has also departed to take up a Super League opportunity with Bradford.
There have also been accusations that kit orders have been unfulfilled and of sponsors awaiting refunds after packages they bought were undelivered.
North Wales will also host Wigan in a pre-season match on Saturday, January 10.
