Rochdale Hornets forward John Cookson is looking forward to getting his testimonial events underway in the New Year.
The RFL awarded the 30 year-old prop with a three-month benefit for 10 years service to Rugby League.
Cookson has been a vital part of the Hornets team since he joined them from Leigh in 2010.
“It is a proud moment and I’m looking forward to it,” said Cookson.
“I’m excited to get things going and obviously it will be a proud day for my family so I can’t wait really.
“I’m still passing ideas around my mates and the committee of Rammy (Dave Ramsbottom) and Ryan (Bradley, CEO) but we should have some events planned soon.”
