Coventry Bears have announced the signing of St Helens winger Ben Parry, following the youngster’s release from the Super League Champions earlier this month.
Parry, who can play full-back or wing, arrives in time for the Bears’ first season in League One, and head coach Tom Tsang believes it is a remarkable signing for the club to secure.
“Ben is a very talented Fullback or Winger and we are very excited to have secured his services for our first season in League One.
“Ben has spent 6 years with St Helens RLFC and as such has a lot of great habits for a young player. He has fully bought into what we are building in Coventry and will be moving to the area to allow himself to perform to his fullest in both training and games.”
Parry himself revealed his delight at the move, saying the high expectations of the club excites him ahead of making the move to Coventry.
“I’m really excited about joining Coventry Bears. It will be a great experience and opportunity for me. I’m looking forward to playing at a new club who have high expectations and I will do my best in helping us have a great season. I’m sure we will play some good rugby and excite the fans.”
