Crusaders capture Joy brothers

North Wales Crusaders have re-signed Andrew Joy for the rest of the season, and the forward has not returned empty handed, bringing with him his brother Richard.

Andrew, 22, played eight games for the Crusaders last year, and he made a further seven appearances during a loan spell with South Wales Scorpions, whilst twin brother Richard featured six times for Oldham in 2015.

“Andy and Richard will come into the fold in the next couple of weeks,” said Crusaders coach Anthony Murray. “They add some depth to our squad while we look to rebuild it. “We have a healthy squad of around 22 or 23 players again now, so we are looking okay.”

Meanwhile Murray also confirmed that Stuart Reardon faces a spell on the sidelines with a torn bicep, while Elliot Liku and Tommy Holland will also be back in contention for Friday’s game against Rochdale after returning from a loan spell with Coventry Bears.
