Darcy Lussick the latest to put his hand up for England

England could be set for another fresh face for this year’s Four Nations – after NRL forward Darcy Lussick deciding he wants to switch his allegiance to England for this year’s Four Nations.

The prop has been in great form for Manly Sea Eagles this year, and has now said that he will make a decision over the next fortnight or so over whether to publicly switch to Bennett and England.

It will provoke yet more debate over the amount of Australians deciding they want to put their hand up and play for England – but Lussick, who qualifies through his grandparents, says that he’d aiming to complete a goal of his to play international rugby league.

“If I got an opportunity, I’d take it with both hands,” Lussick told Fox Sports.

“I qualify through my grandmother. It is my goal (to play rep footy). It’s been a goal for a while but I guess over the years it hasn’t been a reality.

“Over the next couple of weeks I’ll sit down with my manager and my family and decide what I want to do.

“My family would be pretty proud.”
