Dons snap up Mariano

Doncaster have signed back-rower Frankie Mariano on a deal until the end of the season.

The former Castleford player was released by Featherstone last week, and the Dons have reacted quickly to secure his services.

The Scotland international could make his debut in a top of the table clash against Bradford at the weekend, and head coach Richard Horne said: “Frankie is a great signing for the club, we beat a couple of Championship clubs to his signature and he arrives with the experience of playing at international level and has also played a number of games in Super League.

“He will add more size and strength to our pack which is needed in this division. I am looking forward to working with him for the rest of the season and he is confident he can help us reach our goal of making the top four.”
