Sheffield Eagles have announced the signing of prop forward Ben Jones on a one year deal from fellow Championship side Dewsbury Rams.
Jones, 25, has previously played at Super League level with the then named Harlequins after coming through the ranks at the Leeds Rhinos Academy.
“It’s great to announce Ben is joining the club,” said Eagles Head Coach Mark Aston. “He’s a tough, uncompromising, physical front rower and has an excellent attitude and is the type of player we want here.
“At 25, he’s still got the best years’ of his career ahead of him and he’s excited about coming to the back to back Championship Champions.”
“He’s come through a great system at Leeds and we’ll continue to develop him and under the likes of Mitch Stringer, I’m sure, with his great attitude and work ethic he will become a strong force for us up front.”
