Ellis opens up on his recovery

Huddersfield Giants star Jamie Ellis admitted that he is pleased with his rehabilitation from shoulder surgery.

Ellis was ruled out for ten weeks after injuring his shoulder against Widnes a few weeks ago.

His injury came at an awful time for the Giants, who have been swamped by injuries since the beginning of the season. Since Ellis’ injury, the Giants have welcomed back a number of players, most notably halfback Danny Brough.

“My recovery is going really well,” Ellis told the club’s official website.

“All of the medical staff have been really good and I am already out of my sling, I just wore it as a precaution at the game at the weekend but everything is going well.

“I have got movement and range back and the physios have been impressed with where I am and they think I am ahead of schedule but it is going to be a 10-week thing because of the surgery but everything is going well so far.”

“I was gutted because we had just started the season and I felt like I was playing well and to get that injury is obviously frustrating but it happens. It is rugby and I have been lucky over the years with injuries so I have just got to work hard and focus on getting back into the team and playing well again.”
