THERE were a number of flashpoints during England’s brave 14-4 loss to Australia in the Second Ashes Test at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.
England’s Dom Young and Australia’s Tino Fa’asuamaleaui were both sinbinned inside the opening ten minutes for running into a scuffle, inflating the argument that had been started when Harry Grant took exception to Jez Litten’s attention.
That wasn’t the biggest potential disciplinary issue, however, with the Kangaroos’ Reece Walsh also being shown a yellow card 15 minutes from time for taking out Young when the latter tried to take control of a George Williams kick.
There was no attempt to wrap from Walsh, and though co-commentator James Graham believed that such a penalty was sufficient, it could land the Australia fullback in hot water for the Third Test at Headingley on Saturday.
