WALES 6 ENGLAND 46
CHRIS PRONGER, The Gnoll, Neath, Saturday
ENGLAND, after having been limited to a 12-0 interval lead, upped the tempo in the second period to come close to breaching the half-century.
Mason Hunter crossed in the ninth minute, adding the first of his four goals, but the visitors were limited thereafter, in the first half, to a Rio York touchdown on the half-hour.
It was a different matter in the second period.
York and Hunter grabbed their second tries within nine minutes of the restart, and Josh Williams dotted down as the hour beckoned, Will Steen booting the first of his three conversions.
Zach Dennett then squeezed in wide out and, with ten minutes left, York went in for his hat-trick score.
Wales confirmed their undoubted spirit when Ben Foskett nipped over with six minutes left, Elliott Williams adding the extras, but England had the last word through Zac Law.
