Everton Magic Weekend is a best seller

THE MAGIC WEEKEND that will be held at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on the first weekend of July has seen more tickets sold than ever before – even though the event is still three months away.

RL Commercial have today revealed that the previous record attendance of 68,276 set at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park back in 2016 has been surpassed, with almost 70,000 tickets sold.

“England fans really loved visiting the superb venue during the Ashes last autumn when the stadium was sold-out and it looks like many are coming back for more,” said RL Commercial CEO Rhodri Jones.

“We set a target of making this the biggest and best Magic Weekend yet and it’s brilliant to see supporters backing the event to help us achieve this.

“We’ve had an excellent start to the Super League season with some enthralling action, thrilling encounters and there’s more set to come in Rivals Round over the next three days.

“Crowds have never been as big at this stage of the campaign in the competition’s 30-year history and Magic offers the chance for fans to see all 12 of our English-based clubs in action over 48 hours.”
