Ex-Castleford Tigers forward signs new Sheffield Eagles deal

SHEFFIELD EAGLES want to help forward Lewis Peachey progress his career after he signed a two-year contract extension.

The 24-year-old former Castleford Tigers player has made 18 appearances over his three seasons at the South Yorkshire club so far.

Those outings have been supplemented by temporary stints with Rochdale Hornets and Midlands Hurricanes.

Derbyshire-born Peachey was loaned to York Knights and Newcastle Thunder while at Castleford, where he came through the Academy to feature eleven times for them in Super League.

“After spending the latter half of this year on loan at Midlands Hurricanes, Peachey returns to South Yorkshire ready to strengthen the squad for the 2026 season and beyond,” said the club.

Sheffield have 16 players under contract, with coach Craig Lingard and director of rugby Andy Tyers working to bolster the squad after a third-bottom finish.
