FORMER Hull FC and Castleford Tigers star Peter Lupton is still playing – at the remarkable age of 44!
The Cumbrian made 299 career appearances in the British game including 48 for Hull FC, 57 for Castleford and 70 for Celtic Crusaders.
Lupton left UK shores in 2015 following a stint at Barrow Raiders, moving to the USA where he has played both rugby league and union.
He has now signed for New York Knights, a club reformed in March this year (having been New York Broncos up to 2019) when Super League side York Knights took them on.
The Knights already own Championship team Newcastle Thunder and have expanded into the North American market where the New York club play in the black and yellow shirts and sport a badge almost identical to York.
