First to score goes through…

Saturday’s fixtures in the second round of the Conference Challenge Trophy will be settled by `golden point’ if teams finish level on 80 minutes.

Rugby Football League official Bob Smithies, in a nore to clubs, stated: “Should extra time be required in the cup ties, the `golden point’ ruling will come into play.

“The first team to score points of any kind will be declared the winners.”

Smithies has also confirmed the identity of referees for the ties, and for the sole NCL fixture.
