Flanagan may leave Saints at end of the season

St Helens forward Mark Flanagan has hinted that his future may lie away from the club, after revealing that no offer has been put forward to him yet about a new deal.

Flanagan has stressed he is keen to stay with the defending Super League champions beyond the end of this season, but the 27-year-old, who returned to Super League with the Saints after a spell in the NRL with Wests Tigers, says that at the moment, his future is up in the air.

“My preference is to stay at Saints but it’s looking doubtful at the moment because nothing has been put on the table as yet,” Flanagan told Sky Sports.

He also added that he is openly talking to other clubs, but insisted no deal has been agreed.

“We’re still in dialogue and I’m taking to a few other clubs but nothing has been sorted.”
