Rugby players are well-known for taking a variety of different routes when they eventually leave the game – but Luke Menzies is taking a somewhat unique path.
The former Salford and Hull KR forward began training to become a professional wrestler while he was still playing professional rugby in 2016 – and that hard work has now paid off.
Menzies has signed a deal with wrestling giants WWE – along with ex-Salford winger Daniel Vidot – and will report to their Performance Centre in Florida to begin his journey to the top of the industry.
Menzies has been crafting a name for himself on the independent circuit in the United Kingdom, and his exploits have now not gone unnoticed.
He now heads to the WWE PC, where some of the biggest names currently in the world of wrestling have learned their trade.
