  1. Just to clarify, the Jimmy Frizzel stand holders around 2300 according to the website. There are 6 fairly equal sections so that is around 400 per section. The Joe Royle stand holds around 2700. The centre sections were fairly full with the 2 wings less full.
  2. What is this about, sorry if I have missed it?
  3. We were at a forum at Oldham last week. IMG was discussed ( thankfully only briefly). George Riley we runs the media section and also is responsible for IMG submissions discussed the social media impression. He clearly said IMG ( not the RFL) queried the social media impressions submitted. He said this several times as the document went back by and forth to them. So who who auditing the submissions?
  4. Each section of the Rochdale Rd end holds around 300 fans. If you look at the video they are only in two sections and one is around 2/3 full with a smattering in the end section. For all the gusto the following was less than Oldham take to away games.
  5. What were the gates at Salford and Huddersfield please?
  6. There were 2694 different there. About 300 from Bradford
  7. But, Oldham started with a squad of 32. Last night we were down to 17. Thee of those were really not fit to play. 15 players are either out injured or forced retirement. It is a tough league.
  8. His wife is giving birth earlier than expected
  9. I would imagine if they have already played Wigan wouldn’t let them play a second time
  10. Amazing by all involved. The passion from the guys running the club is fantastic. It came through loud and clear on Wednesday night at the forum.
  11. Great video from Bill tonight explaining the situation.
  12. Some the event was filmed.
  13. Fordy said at the forum that recruitment was always ongoing and it was on going already for next season.
  14. 100th anniversary of Challenge Cup victory Published: April 24, 2025 Tomorrow, April 25th 2025, it will be 100 years since Oldham defeated Hull KR in the Challenge Cup Final at Headingley. Oldham won the match 16 – 3 with an inspired performance from winger Reg Farrar at the heart of the Roughyeds victory. The Oldham left wing scored a try, made two more and kicked two goals before a crowd of 28,335 to pave the way for the Roughyeds captain Herman Hilton to raise aloft the famous trophy to the delight of the travelling Oldham supporters. The other points came from tries by Albert Brough, Joe Corsi and Evan Davies. This was the second in the run of four consecutive Challenge Cup finals with defeats to Wigan in 1924 and Swinton in 1926 only for Oldham to gain revenge against the ‘Lions’ in 1927, when Tom Holliday scored a hat-trick of tries in a 26 – 7 victory at Central Park, Wigan. It is well documented that two years later the final was moved to Wembley and Oldham have never quite made it to play in the showpiece in the capital suffering semi-final heartbreak on several occasions. The 1925 Rugby League Challenge Cup winning squad. Now in this 100th anniversary year the Roughyeds are again just one game away from fullfilling the dream of their supporters when Featherstone come to Boundary Park on May 18th in the semi-final of the 1895 cup. That date itself looms large in the history of the club with it being on May 18th 1957 that Oldham last finished as Rugby League champions with the famous victory over Hull FC at Odsal Stadium, Bradford. What better way to celebrate the 100th anniversary than to go down to Boundary Park on Friday and cheer on the Roughyeds against the Bradford Bulls. Kick off is at 7.45pm with tickets available with a saving of £4 if booked today! See link below. https://roughyeds.ticketco.events/uk/en/e/oldham_rlfc_v_bradford_bulls
  15. There are some tough games this weekend. Apart from odd blow out scores, this league seems very close and competitive .
  16. Interesting to hear that the 20 named are our remaining fit players. Apparently Cian Tyrer picked up an injury playing for Rochdale last week.
  17. That came over loud and clear. Well explained ( as far as legal constraints allowed) by Bill
  18. It’s the 100th anniversary the 1925 cup final win
  19. Believe me @oldham maxonian is a massive fan and is involved with many of the activities that go on at the club. He makes a good point and one that needs consideration by the club. We need to be respectful of people’s views and opinions.
  20. According to SL it was a crusher tackle and he couldn’t return
  21. He is, but when DC is at stand off we feel more organised and in control.
  22. We were discussing this in the journey back. He has taken sone big head knocks this season. Think he copped one against Wigan, two in the Barrow away game (second one failed HIA) and ditto at Sheffield. I think there is done protocol in place where after repeated knocks there is a prolonged stand down period
  23. We counted up on the way home and today was no 6 so yes Bradford should be the last one.
