A good win, 18-4, with Crusaders only scoring a consolation on the final minute. Dewsbury thrashed hornets as well, which was a surprise
-
The ground and stadium is now completely owned by the the Rothwell Family who own the football club. They are lifelong latics fans. The rugby club have a long rem agreement to play at the ground. the council got their part have invested in a state of the art £1m pitch

It was a privilege to be there this morning Dave. Buzzing as well!
-
He told this story at the press conference this morning. What he was saying is he wants every local lad to want to play for Oldham rather than other clubs. He wants them to be desperate to sign and play for us because we are ( or will be) one of the top clubs
-
The take over was completed 5pm on Wednesday
-
One of the clubs new board was one of the founding members of Rugby Oldham and its initial Chairman

Five new kings!

Okay so assuming a new owner, after Sunday we have a two week break before our biggest home match of the season. As there is a fixture clash with both us and latics are at home with a 3pm kickoff, would you change to Monday and change to BP as a one off, to have real marketing push?
-
There was a rumour on the OASF forum
-
Surely we now need to build and develop the club, rather than be “saved”. I am sure that a robust business plan must have been developed for the council to buy into this
-
Interesting in the report, the statement came from a “club spokesperson ”, not Chris Hamilton which is the norm?

I said to someone earlier, are we looking to new horizons for another false dawn. Hope i am wrong but feel we may not get what we want Suspect this is likely to be more about a new pitch

Overall I thought Jack Smith had a good game. It is too easy to blame the ref. As a neutral I enjoyed Salford’s expansive play in the first half, but when Warrington turned up the speed and intensity after half time Salford changed and started slowing the ruck down and the niggle crept in. it was a great game though!
-
Just saying what was said after the game. We were in line with play but countn’t see the incident. The ref appeared to put it on report after Sheridan had left the field.
-
Lewis has a broken and dislocated kneecap. Having op tonight. Incident on report by ref as a cannonball tackle.
-
Hope Lewis is okay. Sounds like season ending. If it is a cannonball tackle then the player concerned should be totally ashamed. No place in RL for this.
-
He was taken to hospital we were told at the end of the game. It did look a really bad injury. The game was held up nearly 15 minutes He had played well particularly in the first half and will be sorely missed if it turns out to be as bad as it looks. fingers crossed for the lad

Says a lot really!

It was originally the Infirmary Cup with all proceeds split between Oldham & Rochdale Infirmaries in pre NHS days
-
Oldham haven’t this this year. I agree it is a poor decision by the clubs. May well put off some older fans
-
I would image Ridyard and Sheridan will fill the two half back positions. I would think one more prop will see the squad pretty much complete
-
Looking to be a very strong squad so far, with say 6 or 7 more to sign we should be at least the strength of Keighley last year.
