  1. Toni Carroll. They even invented rules for him as he had already played for the Kiwis.
  2. Yes that offence was a Jim Mills, Les Boyd old school shot. Was thinking at least 4
  3. Yep saw a clip where he said no and no. Fair play to him.
  4. I hope IMG's mindset for SL is how do we grow the biggest most successful clubs we can. I really don't give a #### about pro rata in terms of how that relates to an even SL across the competition. Underperformers should be exposed to the max, not hidden in a drive to mediocrity.
  5. Yes I'm not surprised given everyone was rolling around on a 3 year full assessment cycle - which is stupid. Even now you could give 7-10 year licenses to Wigan, Saints, Catalans, Hull FC, Warrington and Leeds on a quick 2-day evaluation of data and historic performance. How are any of these clubs not going to be in SL? You then build in re-evaluation penalties for something going Pete Tong like financial trouble etc.
  6. 79 Yes to follow the glory of all your previous pseudonyms
  7. What was he committed to exactly Barry. He is 24 and England has played 1 test in 4 years. He probably saw the GB farce for what it was too. Players who make huge calls like that are usually torn for a long time. There would be no shortage of people in his ear since he was a kid.
  8. As I said, you cannot pitch things will be better going forward if the reality is most of the squad is likely to #### off or get binned and they will be part time next year? In Trinity's case, how the hell do you create a campaign around brand new facilities, better things in 2023 when the outlook on and off the field for the club is so grim.
  9. But crowds are a counter to arguments that relegation scraps are exciting. Sky don't look to televise many relegation games until the very last game. And if fans of those clubs involved were turned on by it they would rally around their club and swell the attendances?
  10. It's not just about the crowds Dave. I spent the weekend back home and the mood is grim. For example, West Tigers and Bulldogs are #### at the moment but they are announcing new coaching appointments, new signings and making big plans for 2023. Wakefield are simply holding their breath while a few players are already deserting the ship. Crossing their fingers they can put off the inevitable for another year. How do you promote the club on that?
  11. But you will be in the minority. Wakefield's crowds will likely go into freefall over the next few weeks.
  12. So that means Wakefield will get their highest home attendance of the season next week against Saints and their biggest away following this season at Cas? Or does the car crash of a relegation dog fight only appeal to observers?
  13. I think Toulouse have to beat both Salford and Hull at home in the next 2 weeks to avoid the drop. That would leave Wakefield needing 3 wins (without another Toulouse win) which is going to be tricky looking at those fixtures. Still very much in the balance.
  14. Toulouse off the bottom of the table for the first time this season. Whatever happens the club has dusted themselves down and showed some fight.
  15. I wonder if the Leeds coaching staff were worried about the longer term impact of a draining game like this win or lose.
  16. If Austin is injured then it has to be the wing.
  17. Radley and Knowles can play 13 and rotate. If needed Knowles can stay on and spell a prop as Jake T did for NSW. We have options in the second row but Whitehead and Bateman, as you say, really are a long way from that golden form in 2018/2019. Radley is an enforcer too and it is a great option to have in the squad.
