  1. I am writing two stories, but I have seemed to have stalled, I haven't written a word on either of them for 2 years. I let my daughter read the Sword and fantasy one, she has passed it on to her friend at school, what I didn't know is HER Mum is a literary agent, she likes it, so far.
  2. That's OK. Now tidy your bedroom before Midnight.
  3. A big wide open space full of Bears & Moose, & Ice Hockey Champions, without Americans & French. Seems the right idea.
  4. Is there any "Hard Shoulder" anymore, now all the Motorways have/are being converted to Smart Roads? Corrected your spelling, as you were probably texting while driving. Also very bad grammar.
  5. I also liked Inside Out, a deeply moving film about our emotions & Memories, Quite rightly won an Oscar. (& others)
  6. Super films, I loved the scene where Gregory Peck jumps on the bus to escape the Police, and finds himself sitting next to a cage of birds, then looks to his left to look straight at Alfred Hitchcock
  7. TV Chefs always have an orgasm when they taste their own food, but has anyone any example of the opposite, where a Chef has spat out their own, or some other chefs food? (Gordon Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares are excluded, because he is paid to spit it out.)
  8. For further info... https://www.hastingsobserver.co.uk/ Police are not raising roadblock between Hastings (Tier 4), and the rest of Sussex (Tier 2), because of Covid transmissions, it is just part of the annual drink/drive clampdowns. Is that why our bus was turned around at Pevensey on Christmas Eve?
  9. Coronavirus, Coronavirus, Coronavirus. Haven't you seen the number of corpses out on the streets of Hastings, Public Health are having trouble cleaning them up, half the population is dead or dying if we are to believe the latest figures. The government will ban 2021 in some areas because we might enjoy ourselves. Many public health officials around here are having problems differentiating between the corpses and the drunks unconcious on the promenade, thats why they will ban New Year.
  10. Interesting fact: it was meant to be a Saharan type desert, but it was a freezing cold March for filming.
  11. Carry on Follow that Camel desert scenes were actually shot on Camber Sands, and all the cast and crew took over Pontins for a week, some say that was the reason Phil Silvers never appeared in the UK afterwards.
  12. Terrific win by 10-Man Villa yesterday against Palace, and if it wasn't for the woodwork it could've been 6+. Shame Villa Park was empty, the Holte End would've enjoyed that. One question though, Haven't UEFA or FIFA banned Saturday 3pm Kick-offs being broadcast live on TV? Especially on terrestrial TV stations.
  13. The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society was pretty good.
  14. Ooh, 1969 Italian Job. You're only to blow the bloody doors off.
  15. Stuffed it with Chilli's and Pate de Canard avec Orange, then wrapped it in Parma Ham. Mediterranean vegetables, and colcannon, for a mix of British and European Adios to peace again.
  16. Still got another hour. I eat late, drink early. Spell corrected her name for you.
  17. We gave our daughter an unusual name, it is Hawaiian for Heavenly Flower, however that means we can't wander down to Clintons when we need a special present, with her name on it. Even her second name can be difficult to find. Which we chose because our surname is a Viking word, but there is no other Leilani Freya that we know of However, this year I went on to Not on the High Street, and bought her a hand made LED light with her name, that cost me a bucket of cash, but it was worth it, she is delighted. So thank you to the company in Leeds, for getting it to her before Christmas, even though delivery time was estimated as 28th December, and thank you to NOTHS.
  18. I think I might have overstretched my Christmas dinner. I am spending this year on my own, so I bought a Turkey Breast from Morrisons to have with some minimal trimmings. However on closer examination it weighs 1.056kg, and is set to serve 4. Plus trimming left over from last weekend with my daughter. No Sprouts or carrots though , TG
