It is a real law of the game. SECTION 10 - KNOCK-ON AND FORWARD PASS NOTES Direction of pass 1. The direction of a pass is relative to the player making it and not to the actual path relative to the ground. A player running towards his opponents’ goal line may throw the ball towards a colleague who is behind them but because of the thrower’s own momentum the ball travels forward relative to the ground. This is not a forward pass as the thrower has not passed the ball forward in relation to themself. This is particularly noticeable when a running player makes a high, lobbed pass.

Ian does the door match day's while Shelley tells the people inside to $%£k off if they don't like it. Shelley was on top form last night. -
That's a bit random???

I was a doubter, and was surprised he got the gig. I didn't necessarily want an Aussie. I will hold my hands up and say Wigan got his appointment absolutely right. A friend of mine who works at the club said he was so well respected within the club it was no surprise to him and others at the club.

Ian mentioned you had been in. They don't own it, it is owned by John Brierley who is passionate about trains, Victorian pubs and draught Bass. -
John Monie didn't have a great deal of experience either, yet a bit more than Peet but not a great deal.

Matty Peet is a well educated student of the game, he is also a man who knows his town and people and uses his knowledge of Wigan's history, town and club, to get his players to buy into his ethos of you play for the town, the club, the team first and yourself last. The way he made sure Liam Marshall was supported by the team (in the broadest sense) this week, he told the team when they attended Liam's mother's funeral that it was bigger and more important than anything else this week shows how he builds a bond between the players. That sort of bond is what creates the sort of defence that Wigan showed last night.

The laws state: Play with foot (e) When the ball touches the ground it must be heeled (i.e. backwards) by the tackled player. The ball must not be kicked or heeled by the player marking them. The ball is in play when it has been played backwards. All laws are open to interpretation though, the current interpretation appears to be a reasonable attempt at 11.10.e above will suffice. Which is what is being used in RL in the UK.
