  1. Fair comment Mick. Difference is, you've offloaded the architect of your downfall, we've given ours another two years.
  2. Sorry, can't be bothered. Oh, O'Meley and Fitz are back. That's all.
  3. Looks like the Keepmoat to me, and that's a great RL venue, albeit a tad small. What's the crowd capacity going to be?
  4. Come on then Wendall...we need to know for certain if it's you mate.
  5. Indeed. After what we've seen for most of the season it's difficult to be anything other than gloomy about our team's chances in most games. Hull were pitiful last night, but Wigan were great. I repeat myself again but in the Derby, Hull didn't need coaching. The same big name players were missing but the people who played didn't need telling what to do, they knew what an important game it was. In a game like last night, they need coaching and that's where my team are at a disadvantage. Well done to Wigan, some of their football was terrific, but they probably haven't had an easier double all season.
  6. That's a very good point. Surely it's in the interest of all clubs to present the best case for any of their players up before the beak. And as I imagine the RFL disciplinary panel will have watched the game and will have all the video evidence they need, clearly a "not guilty" verdict on the charge of fighting was lunacy.
  7. With respect, I think I do, as do the bookies. Hull fc are 7/2 to win by 1-12 points. Says it all for me, in a two horse race. http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-league/cl.../winning-margin
  8. You'll be disappointed mate. Paddypower had the Pies at -8 at 10/11 but it's drifted out to 4/5 now. Indication of how the game will go. I reckon.
  9. Any of you lot coming over tomorrow? Can't say I blame you if not, we had a nightmare journey to the DW on a Friday night a while back and only scraped in for kick off. The nightmare was making it there at all.... Come to think of it, the journey home wasn't much fun either.
  10. Wigan by a fair bit. They mullered us at the DW a few months since and did the same to us tomorrow night... So there.
  11. Steve Macnamara was on Radio Blunderside toneet, for his sins, and spoke very well. It's not a train on squad as such, he said he simply wanted to get players together from the current European Super League, to see how they interacted and to find out who would and who wouldn't add to an England team, in the bonding sense, rather than out on the field. He spoke about personalities rather than form as, from his words, a happy squad is more likely to succeed than one that isn't. I wonder if he was referring to our last debacle down under in the world cup when he chose to say that...
  12. As others have said, this is correct, but it wasn't to help the club survive financially, it was to raise the money to ensure the signing of Des Hasler. Really looking forward to seeing how he goes at Saints, good memories from him at Hull but he was at the club in a difficult time and, as his marathon efforts suggest, had his financial hands tied. All the very best wishes from me at least, hope Saints go well under his regime.
  13. According to the paper, Hull KR fans have accused the RFL disciplinary panel of inconsistency, after Cockayne received the severest punishment. So the paper contacted the RFL to ask them to justify it... http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/h...il/article.html "His poor disciplinary record in Super League-which had seen him referred to the disciplinary panel six times in four years-and his entering of a "not guilty" plea to the charge of fighting, were also taken into consideration"
  14. That did cross my mind but pmj wires always thinks I'm picking on your lot so I thought I'd better not comment on it.
  15. Good shot! Edited, etc. Can see a real thumping here for the Bulls. But then I could at half time at Odsal when they played Wigan. So here's hoping for a change of fortune for them. Hull KR 36 Bulls 18.
  16. I see an obvious flaw in your reasoning Dave, mate.
  17. If anyone cares to post a link to any of the threads alluded to here, I may swiftly retract my original sentiment.
  18. Having watched it live at the game and again on telly, with the benefit of being able to study all players involved, I would say the Hull KR players shifted the ball out wide quickly as they thought it would get to Fox quicker than Briscoe could get to him. When the first pass went towards the wing, Briscoe was under the posts. The last passer, Charnley?, should perhaps have tried to put Briscoe in doubt as to whether he was going to pass out wide or bring Fox inside but I genuinely believe he thought Fox had time to score in the corner. If you get chance to see it again on Sky.com, just watch Briscoe, he follows the ball like an arrow and hits Fox ball n all. As Barrie Mac stated, the tackle of the decade.
